When tasked to tackle a rebranding of an established company, I chose to rebrand the hot chocolate company Swiss Miss, who has not really updated their current branding in many decades. Swiss Miss’ new logo combines the very recognizable imagery of a mug with an mountain-shaped line, a heavy nod to Swiss Miss’ old logo which prominently featured the Swiss Alps. The dark blue was chosen to represent winter, a season where instant hot chocolate is commonly enjoyed, and the lighter blue was chosen to represent the tops of snow-crested mountains, another reference to Swiss Miss’ original logo.
